In short: IV Lens doesn't collect, keep or share any personal data. It has no internet access, so nothing it sees can leave your phone.
What IV Lens sees
- Your screen, only while the bubble is on. You start it in the app, and Android asks you to allow screen capture first. IV Lens reads each image on the phone to find the Pokémon's numbers (CP, HP, stardust cost, appraisal bars), then lets it go. Images are never saved and never sent.
- Text recognition is Google's ML Kit, built into the app and running on the phone. IV Lens has no internet access, so ML Kit can't send anything either.
What IV Lens keeps
- Your saved Pokémon and your settings, in the app's own storage on your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
- Export writes your saved list to a file you choose. Where that file goes is up to you.
- If your phone backs itself up (Android's backup), Android may include the app's storage in your own backup. That's handled by Android under Google's terms; we never see it.
What you can send us
- Report a bug opens a form where you write what went wrong. It shows what's added to it: the app version, the phone model, the Android version, the screen size and, from a result card, what IV Lens read. You then copy it to our Discord or share it another way; nothing is sent by the app itself. We only see what you post or send.
- Links (Discord, our website, Pokémon pages on pokemon.gameinfo.io) open in the Discord app or your browser, under their own privacy policies.
